Physiotherapy for horses is similar in many ways to that we know from humans. The most important difference, however, is that the horse cannot express where it is in pain. This places greater demands on the therapist’s ability to analyze movement patterns and muscular imbalances.<\/p>

A course of equine physiotherapy always starts with a thorough dialogue with you as the owner. Here we discuss your horse’s behavior, performance and any problems. Perhaps the horse is out of step, seems stiff or tired after a competition – in such cases it can often be due to overload, which can be beneficially remedied with equine physiotherapy.<\/p>

If it is a real injury, you should always contact a veterinarian as the first step.
